The PPM has a small but remarkable archive of documents on postal history dating from the 19th to the 20th century. PPM’s Archive consists of various collections of documents, which in the vast majority are official correspondence regarding personnel matters. Its most important categories are the official correspondence of the Cretan State (1900-1913) and the correspondence of the Greek Kingdom (1900-1930). This material provides information, in a very vivid way, about the everyday life back then, the circumstances in the postal service and the public administration sector in general, as well as about major historical events of the country.
